The Journey

The Journey

She could tell / before birth / or after the crest / her finger tip / in death is more / than simply dying / dismemberment / of self or / limbs or soul / remember the crescent / shape of yellow / like a plated reference / to her mind

She could tell

before birth

or after the crest

her finger tip

in death is more

than simply dying

dismemberment

of self or

limbs or soul

remember the crescent

shape of yellow

like a plated reference

to her mind or

the question before

the sensation of birth,

soul, time, eternity

remembered, remembering

or forgetting the instant

continuity of it all.

Once she remembered

it was forgotten

remembered

again

the consequence

of flight

she could not

control or ease

of pain

relinquished

before and after

the triumph of passion

and memory.

It could not be said

lectured or discussed

the distinction

in souls

passed through

yellow

red

through white

distinctions

the memory

she said

i  am here

nowhere have

i gone

nowhere will

you see

me other than

i am here

no where

else.

If as to the crowd she chanted

if as to the crowd she wandered

among them, touching as if

to know each of them

among each other, not

touching they would say

she is like no other, not

one of them, not one of us

but like them among the crowd

where her soul is the mirror,

the consequence

the total gesture. You cannot

have it both ways, they reflected.

They said you cannot have it

both ways, among which

she said, You do not know both

ways without which you cannot

survive without me, or them.

Join us.

To know boundaries of soul

to know without knowing

beyond the present knowing

time or affiliation whether material

or otherwise to make sense

beyond senseless apparition

guides you, he, it, we, they

a totality of winding road

neither she nor anyone knows

the passionate words

she picks them up

one by one, places them

in her basket of gold,

never knowing

the weight or height or width

of them the words

consequence within

a virtue of doubt,

reason, provocation or

miracle to secure  a place

of proof speaks

of loneliness

or miracle.

One or the other,

are they the same?

she asks

they do not know

she points to

the distinction draws

a timeline inferring

action without knowing

of hope nor miracle or

loneliness or both or

either one noting to

conquer or settle or gossip

or prattle or secure illusion

of soul, self, or master

robs the illusion

and wealth betrays

the hope of security

the trust of mystery

beyond the scope

of this and that or

between one and

the other knowing

difference in illusion.

Once he discovered the truth

she knew. they all knew.

she could tell, would

tell what she knew before

security held up the photo

graph on the wall, telling

her, him, them, they

he without and within

it was none other than

she, it, they, him do not

know what they know—

every one of them

frames the diameter

stretching like a diamond

across the boundary

she does not cross

he crosses the boundary

standing inside

the dimensions of them

not knowing or under

standing the circle en

circling the form before

the diameter stretching

from eye to the other

encircling the tightrope

stringing between them

the form they do

not know

nothing,

nothing knows

the nothing

they do not

know

what they

know

inside

the circle

they want

more

this desire

inside they

cannot

know

beyond

what they

know

How can they?

When she

found him

he was

wrapped

in silk

crying

he did not

know

but she

knew

one word

inside

him

he did not

know

how could he

know

she placed

her

heart

inside him

inside

the

word

she sees

him

looking

to

see

his

self

They did not know

they had lost the words

floating up beyond them

she says it is lovely

they couldn’t say

they couldn’t know

not now

not any time soon

but maybe

she said

maybe one step

at a time

she said

when he turned

around it is you

he said

I haven’t seen you

in a long time

I know

she said

forever is a long

time ago

was just

now

if

you

see

her

or

him

or

them

tell

each

one

the

truth

before

they

leave

they

want

to

know

Believe it
